Comments and predictions on the Election results
By Dave Sutton - November 3, 2010
Sixty seats picked up in the House. WOW! However, as I told you, it has already started. The democrats are already crying 'we are willing to compromise'. The democrats are saying 'we are willing to work with the republicans on creating jobs'. THE HECK WITH ALL THIS! The democrats have had control of the congress, with Nancy Pelosi for nearly four years. They can't continue to blame George Bush. We didn't put sixty more republicans in the house to compromise. Reaching across the aisle was rejected yesterday. The republicans had better get this message. These people were all saying we will work with the republicans to create jobs. The democrats and Nancy Pelosi have been in charge for four years and everything they did hammered the economy and cost American workers literally millions of jobs. When they were in charge there was no compromise. When they are losers now, they are willing to compromise. This compromise offer comes four years too late. This election was an absolute refutation, rejection of, and a mandate to, end the Obama and the democrat agenda.
California
Both Carly Fiorina and Meg Whitman ran as moderates. Both were endorsed by John McCain. I think the lesson here is to remember that as Rush says: "Conservatism works every time it is tried".
Nevada
I guess for me the biggest dissapointment of the evening was the re-election of Harry Reid. It seems to me that that might be the work of SEIU/ACORN and other unions. Someone needs to look into this, but as usually the case if the democrat wins there will be no recount nor anyone checking into the validity of the election results .About the only positive thing I can find in this is that at least Chuck Schumer will not be majority leader.
My Predictions
I predict that Obama will stay the course. He is afterall a driven ideologue. He will not change what he is doing. When his policies continue to fail, he might now get some traction when he blames republicans for the state of the economy. The liberals/progressives along with their enablers in the news media are going to cry that the voters are too stupid to understand. CRAP! The problem is that the liberals, even those with PHDs from Columbia and Harvard are the ones who do not understand. The American People 'get it' it is the liberals are the ones don't 'get it'. The liberal elites have long looked down their noses at the people in "flyover country". They have continually told us that we were too stupid to understand. When in fact, it is they who do not understand. I still can see Joe Biden being asked why we can't reduce our dependence on foreign oil by drilling for our own oil? Biden got that smug arrogant (I know so much more than you do) smile on his face and said: "Well it is not that simple". Yes Joe it is just that simple, if we don't get it out of the ground we can't put it in the gas tank. It is just that simple. Sit down and think about it Biden, you might be able to figure it out too.
If the republicans do what they should do which is not back off and insist that the Obama/democrat programs installed in the last two years which have so damaged our country, are defunded. To wit: Obama care, bailouts, buyouts and TARP spending. Funding for ACORN, NPR, Fannie Mae, Freddie Mac, and other liberal programs funded by tax payer money are ended for good. If the republicans do all these things, my prediction is that Obama and the democrats will refuse to back off resulting in "gridlock". Indeed the democrats are already talking about the republicans causing "gridlock" But dear reader, gridlock in congress is not a bad thing especially if the alternative is the democrats having their way, keeping Obama care, Cap and Trade, and continuing the idiotic energy and environmental policies which are causing massive destruction of our economy. Shutting down Obama and the far left democrat agenda is a good thing.
